I believe people are beginning to awaken from the soulless twentieth century undertakings of misdirected accomplishments. The narrow-minded obsessions with consumerism (digesting for the sake of merely taking in: i.e. ownership/egotism). There is a shift of energy coming through ~ yet this also comes with a huge wave of fear. Fear of the unknown, fear of oneself; ones true self that has been veiled and polluted, so therefore where lies the self worth?
There will be an unsteadiness amongst ones balance if eyes open yet the focus is yet still cloudy ~ perhaps the easiest would be to shut down the eyes again!!! However, if we can glance into the mirror of another’s eyes to help recognize our own soul and purer intentions, and realize we are not alone, then the step to change has begun.
Art is a reflection of society, best, when we as artists, void of ego, allow the medium of our creativity to act as this mirror. It is important to alert society of its maltreatment of its environment and fellow inhabitants, to trigger the desire and action to heal. I also believe it important to trigger the healing that needs to be done to the essence of mankind. The soul root of our existence. Why are we individually and collectively alive? It is a question that surely arose in all our existential period, as eager youths... yet too often faded as routine lifestyle numbed.
My idealism leads me to fantasize about a world in which all inhabitants are living and fulfilling their ‘life paths’: designed both for their own growth and also a piece in the puzzle of universal evolution. The fundamental key in all our journeys must surely be love. Too many consider the term love in the conventional definition which has raped the word of its purist meaning. Perhaps some even push aside the concept with scepticism reared from the hippies ‘free love’ period. Even sadder is the arrogance born in many from previous pain and disillusionments.
There is a Chinese proverb "Add things everyday to gain knowledge, take things away to obtain wisdom." Love ~ like wisdom, is really a simple matter. The complexities we have become distracted with in modern daily life have somehow hidden the truth... the very foundations from which we should all step out from with joy towards a loving life.
Let us all take action to re-connect the people with a genuine understanding of the beauty of life. Being open and sharing towards one another is a good start. It breeds an encouraging positivety and a curiosity to search further for better possibilities. Demolishing the fear so many face in taking free steps forwards toward a better future, will be a rewarding challenge. Making the decision to move beyond the comfort zones, the securities in which we feel safe, is a choice we all have the power to utilize. We must trust ourselves. Challenge and risk and questioning propel us, enthuse us and inspire us with growth. Let us also not forget the strength in our vulnerabilities; in honestly sharing our emotions and facing the whole process.
Oh goodness, we can all learn from each other, but we must let go of our self obsessions otherwise we remain deaf and blind to the beauty surrounding us, we remain a slave to our own desires, and we miss the opportunities to learn, to grow, ~ to shine with the beauty that is available to us all...
As technology continues to define itself, our world, in all its diversities, becomes more accessible to each of us. With borders lifting, our transgression as a unified human race must also be in enthused progression: surely!?
Like many before me, I repeat, it is time to really pool our resources, share our experiences, heal the pain which breeds hatred, opt for a positive outlook, learn from an open contact with our spirited brothers and sisters, and be innovative in creating a world in touch with nature and with beauty, care, loving responses and impulses, and most importantly, clear thinking.
Let’s all spread our wings and stretch our faces, radiant with joy, toward freedom.
Imagine the energy of us ALL trying?!!...
