I've shared with you a time, |
perhaps well before this present rhyme, |
when peace was not just a favour, |
and angels were a common flavour. |
For we've danced upon each others heart, |
when sure, |
minds were smart, |
but our spirits stronger. |
In this modern world, no longer, |
does our beauty meld naturally. |
It's a choice we must make, |
to break, |
the bindings of protection |
and allow each other in. |
However, when flow is formed, |
society can no longer be scorned, |
because we just proved |
that human nature is good |
and understood. |
That love will bridge that gap |
between loneliness and the other chap. |
We prove you see, |
that love is an open tree |
that grows and expands, and |
can seed in far off lands. |
So, thank-you for our shared walk, |
for your outstretched hand. |
