Art

Simply put, I aim at provoking the positive within us all.

In a post-modern world containing little meaning or value, our spirit consciousness is fast depleting, and we, as a human nation, are becoming more and more cynical. We are physically forced closer together, and yet deeply, emotionally, spiritually, we become more distant and empty, searching for fulfilment. I believe a big reason for this has been our increased concentration on ‘things’ exterior from ourselves. Mostly things that others, with commercial intentions, have lured us into believing we need. Everything is so accessible to the majority that a kind of pulse of addictive behaviour has been set, and the damage is that we too often will fail to take the time to observe the basic laws of nature and clearly discover ourselves.

I say there is more to life than what we see around us.

I believe there is a spirit, there is a transcendental ground, and a goal to human development as well as soul development in our universal reach for evolution. I attempt to bring a part of this energy source into my creativity, and perhaps in doing so, remind us all of our higher possibilities.

I talk about the potential of our inner growth. Who we are as a spirit within the function of a body, and who we might be. It is not about what is out there somewhere. It is about what may be glowing within ourselves.

It is art that everyone, no matter what age, sex, education, race, or belief, may look at freely without being afraid of what it means, because the visual articulation is clear, the colours inviting and warm, the symbolism uplifting, and the energy that it evokes,  pure and refreshing. I feel sure that most people will go away from one of my paintings feeling better than they did the minute before. Perhaps even feeling more in contact with the abundant richness within themselves, and all the possibilities within our own inner power.

Not just an offering of peace and beauty, it is art that hopes to open a door to the higher realities available to us all.

This is my aim.
